WHAT IS POWDER COATING?

What is the different between conventional liquid paint and a powder coating? Powder coating is mainly used for coating of metals, such as household appliances, aluminum extrusions, drum hardware, automobile and bicycle parts.

Powder coating is unique because of its protective nature, and does not require a solvent. Powder coating is cured under heat to allow it to flow and form as a "skin"; usually as a thermoplastic or a thermoset polymer. This creates an extremely tough coating used to create a harder finish then conventional paint.

Powder coatings is available in a large range of colors and textures.  Industrial companies are more often using powder coat solutions for a high-quality and durable finish. This process of coating provides the user improved efficiencies and environmental compliance.
